I joined the Northwest Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce over 20 years ago, shortly after becoming the manager of one of our library branches. Although I was raised in the community, I had limited connections with local business leaders at the time. Through regular participation in Chamber meetings, I not only built valuable professional relationships, but also grew both as a manager and as a community leader. These connections have allowed me to form strategic partnerships that have significantly expanded the library’s reach and helped us promote our services to a broader audience. I cannot stress enough how important it is for a business leader or owner to be involved in the Chamber.
